Walking is so healing and restorative, when you do it mindfully.
When I go for a walk and I'm in the mood to do so minfully; I make a point of noticing the ground beneath my feet.
I notice the texture - is it soft, hard, rocky?
I notice the air on my skin, is it cool, crisp, warm...
I notice the sounds - I hear a bird chirping, the waves nearby, a dog barking far away.
And I'm mindful of my breath.
This way a walk becomes nearly meditative and such a grounding and stress relieving experience. Mindful walking is very accessible & there's no monthly fee to pay, only steps to take.
